Trial and Error Robotics is diving headfirst into the new FIRST Tech Challenge season, inspired by this year’s theme: Into the Deep. Our team recently traveled to Lamar High School in Meridian, MS, to witness the highly anticipated reveal of the latest challenge.

This ocean-inspired game puts robots to the test as they race to collect samples from a submersible and strategically place them in elevated baskets at the corners of the field. Additionally, teams can choose to convert these samples into “specimens” and return them to the submersible. The ultimate task? For the robot to ascend the submersible before time runs out!

The event was a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends and exchange ideas with fellow teams. After brainstorming strategies, we are energized and ready to tackle this exciting challenge. Our team is already hard at work designing and building a robot that will rise to the occasion—literally!
