Hey everyone, if you didn’t know, we were at the Courthouse Flea Market this past weekend. If not, that’s okay! That’s why we write these articles: so that you can see past events through our eyes. The Flea Market started at 8:00 A.M and continued with a mix of work and fun. Some members passed out pamphlets to the passersby or those who came to talk to the team members at the booth. For the kids, we had coloring pages and stickers. The coloring pages were a big hit for the little kids, and the stickers were easy to hand out to people. As the day progressed, we drove one of our robots, Bessie, around and one of our team members dressed up as our mascot, General Mayhem, and walked around with the bot around other booths.

At our booth, team members were promoting our team and trying to raise funds to keep our team running for the upcoming season. We had a deal that if you donated $5 or more, you would get a 3-D print. The 3D Prints were of marine animals, like a whale shark, and an octopus, to tie in this season’s underwater theme, ‘Into the Deep.’
We were there for eight hours, and during that time, we gave away around fifty-five 3-D prints and raised over $500! Impressive amount, right? Well, that’s not as impressive as our goal, which is to raise $7000. If you want to know more about that, you can read more about it in our upcoming fundraising post or learn more about how you can support our team here.
We had a wonderful time sharing our team with the community. A big THANK YOU to everyone who donated to our team, and we hope you love your 3D prints as much as we loved making them. Be sure to follow us on Facebook to see where we will be next.
