It was a dark and starry night, ghosts, ghouls, and goblins were traipsing, floating, and scaring small children in their neighborhoods. Vampires and Werewolves—hold on a minute. What are we talking about again, Trial and Error Robotics or a horror story version of ‘Hocus Pocus’? We did do something on October 24th. Trial and Error Robotics went to the Engineering Research Development Center’s (ERDC) Annual Trunk or Treat where we brought the ocean to Vicksburg!

In an aisle of open car trunks decorated with streamers and spooky delights, trick-or-treaters bounced from trunk to trunk. Our trunk, although the last in the row, was bubbling with 2-D and 3-D printed sea life. General Mayhem even wore his best Hawaiian shirt to match. This year, our trunk was inspired by our competition theme, “Into the Deep,” to create a spectacular underwater scene. The team had an amazing time passing out candy to all of the little ghouls and boos. Meanwhile, Mayhem and ‘Bessie’ the bot scooted about the event taking pictures and making mischief.
This event is always fun for the team and a great way to connect with some of the kids and families of ERDC. We hope to have the opportunity to do more events like this in the future. A big Thank You if you visited us at the Trunk or Treat. If you would like to support our team and help us do more events like this click here to learn more. Oh, and Happy Halloween!!! Muah-ha-ha-ha-ha!
