Trial and Error Robotics is a nonprofit community-based FIRST Tech Challenge team. FIRST Tech Challenge, or FTC, is an organization that aims to inspire future leaders in STEAM. Every year, FTC teams are given a new and exciting challenge to solve. Our team aims to complete this challenge by designing and building a new robot each year. We then compete alongside other FTC teams to show off our knowledge and skills at local and state competitions designed to inspire innovation.
Our team comprises public, private, and homeschoolers from grades 7 to 12. We are proud to be sponsored and hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Engineer Research and Development Center. This enables us to access some of the world’s brightest minds and a wealth of resources and tools to enhance our learning and development. In addition to our unique circumstances, we also have team members on the neuro-divergent spectrum. This diversity allows us to approach problems from a unique perspective and create extraordinary solutions.
Since the team’s formation in 2015, we have competed in state FTC competitions every year. Over the years, we have won over twenty-two different awards for our innovative robot designs and community outreach.
