Trial and Error Robotics gives a warm welcome to our new member Lauren! The following passage was written by her as an introductory task. We look forward to Laurens membership on the team as we see her skills flourish and grow.
Hello, my name is Lauren Harmon. I am honored to be a new member of Trial and Error. From the previous two meetings, I can tell that this team is the right fit for me. The environment is very welcoming, and it appears to be somewhere that I can learn and gain a lot of experience. Prior to Trial and Error, I was on an FLL team in the 8th grade full time as well as an FRC team for a short period of time without a specified role. On the FLL team, I acted as a project manager. My responsibilities consisted of creating our presentation, keeping everyone on task, and managing our engineering notebook. Additionally, I acted as a team manager for an FTC team at River City Early College, but due to a lack of communication and supervision, the team was not successful. I enjoy working with others and learning new things. It is apparent that this team is very close-knit and supportive of one another while also maintaining a proper work ethic. I love the team’s usage of a Discord server to communicate rather than text messages or platforms like GroupMe. This makes it easier to communicate with team members and mentors about our ideas and concerns. Overall, I am looking forward to getting to know everyone on the team and gaining new experiences.
