Qualifier!

On November 9, 2019, Trial and Error Robotics attended their first qualifier of the 2019-2020 Skystone Season. This event was hosted by FTC team #6273 Technocats at Bogue Chitto High School. Many teams from Mississippi were in attendance including (but not limited to) Team #8651 Wait For It…, Team #3486 Techno Warriors Advanced, and of course our very own Team #10191 Trial and Error.

DSC03683.JPGGoing into this competition, our team met almost daily to improve our robot last minute. Leading up to the competition, we thought our robot was ill-prepared and would fail at this qualifier. However, we ended up winning the majority of our matches and placing rather well.  We were ranked #4 by the end of the regular rounds, and we were even chosen by team #8651 Wait For It… to be alliance partners in the winning alliance. Our team was also awarded the Design Award, which is an award given to showcase a team’s robotic design, both aesthetic and functional.

While our team was not one of the two lucky teams to have advanced to state competitions, we were very fortunate to have been in attendance and grateful for the opportunity. We would like to thank team Technocats #6273 for hosting this qualifier. It was a great time competing with our fellow teams, and we are looking forward to next time!
