Hello my name is Lucas Jeffers, I’m 17 years old, and I go to River City Early College. I am interested in joining Trial and Error robotics because I want to learn how to program, drive, and compete against other teams using robots. I have always been interested in anything to do with electronics and programming, and joining this team will give me the experience I need to work with other people, and to become a better programmer. I have experience with robotics from my robotics class as a student at Academy of Innovation where I learned block coding and how robots are programmed and built. I have experience with coding from teaching myself the basics of the Python programming language, and block coding with Java. I heard about this robotics team from my friend who is on the team, and I was invited to join. I hope that joining this team will be beneficial for my career in the future. I plan to pursue software engineering, and this team will help me to become a better software engineer. My first impressions of this team were very positive, I instantly got along with the members of the team, and my friend helped me get settled into the environment by helping me with programming the robots. I am excited to be a part of this team because I will learn how to program robots and make new friends along the way.
