Hello everyone, this is General Mayhem reporting on your daily dose of Trial and Error. We have been very busy this past few weeks or so, but we’re here now to tell you all about it. So strap in, folks, as I tell you the details of what happened at our recent events.

First up was Elevate’s Family Day hosted by, you guessed it, Elevate Church. This event catered to a wide range of people, but there were plenty of kids. There were things like the bouncy castles, tractors that were set up so the kids could look inside them and look like they were driving and even snow cones. The fire station even brought one of their trucks to the church to demonstrate how it functions and to show the kids all of the bells and whistles. We brought some of our own innovations, such as a tank bot, alongside scooter bot races, where kids can race for 3D prints of their choosing. One of our alumni came with Spot, the robodog, which was able to capture the hearts of many little ones. It was a very enjoyable day for all involved. On to the next event?!

Next, the team was off to the Spring Flea Market at the Old Courthouse Museum. The previous night’s storms had made for a slow morning, the afternoon however, was anything but. Many people came to watch their kids dance or to find some nice trinkets to add to their collection. There were many booths of different sizes and colors, featuring various items and plenty to look at, along with food, so you wouldn’t get hungry or just want a snack on your way home.
With a booth of our own, we began trying to secure donations for our team, which was our primary goal. To accomplish this task we had face painting, scooter bot races, robots, and 3-D prints. Our teammates drove Bandit around on tankbot, potentially drawing new future recruits and helping us get more donations. Thanks to the community, the team did pretty well at this event, but if you missed us or you’d like to make a donation to support our team, you can click here to donate.
